Abstract
Since 1999, the vaccination against seasonal influenza is recommended for health professionals who are in regular and prolonged contact with high risk patients, and by the nature of their function, they may play an important role in the dissemination of the infection. A retrospective study was conducted in the first trimester of 2006Â in the emergency-SMUR-Short stay medical unit department at Vierzon hospital concerning the vaccination campaign of autumn 2005Â against seasonal influenza and comparing the results obtained to the result of the campaign practiced in 2004Â at the hospitals of Montluçon and Vichy by the institute of sanitary surveillance. Solutions were proposed to ameliorate the vaccination coverage, which is nearly 30Â % in our department.
