Abstract
Cervical spine injuries are often associated with moderate or minor head injury. They can have serious consequences likely to influence vital or functional prognosis. They require rigorous management and appropriate pre-hospital phase evaluation. Absence of evidence of moderate trauma or serious clinical situations such as coma may lead to delays in correct diagnosis for these injuries. However, lack of protocol including validated and published criteria can lead to missed or delayed diagnosis. Three case studies are presented to underline these consequences. This report includes indications and radiologic evaluations of clinical cervical spine injuries.
