Abstract
ECG is an interesting tool for an early detection of hyperkaliemia in patients with chronic renal failure but the absence of ECG abnormalities does not rule out this metabolic disorder. Blood analysis should be performed in patients with chronic renal failure at high risk to develop hyperkaliemia.
