Abstract
The cervicofacial necrotising fasciitis are infection situations that result from inoculation usually transmucous of the neck with progressive extension of almost all cervical anatomical cells. The most often evolution is caracterized by chronicization with persistence of under-cutaneous nodule. Sometimes, the infection diffusion realizes a cervical infiltration associated with general signs of septic shock, which is more often fatal without appropriate and quick healing. The prognosis of these infections depends on the extension to the mediastin. The treatment is a real multidisciplinary emergency. It is based on three indissociable parts: intensive resuscitation, surgical drainage associated with an adapted antibiotherapy.
