Abstract
We report a case of acquired septal defect after heart stab wound. The initial clinical sign was a hemopericardium responding favorable to emergency surgical drainage. Secondarily, we discovered a continuous systolic murmur. The diagnosis was confirmed by Doppler echocardiography. This type of injury illustrates the performance of new diagnostic and therapeutic methods for exceptional cases of cardiac trauma.
