Abstract
Medical care on a motor racing circuit responds to the needs of both the participants and the public. Reviewing the twelve-year experience at the Nevers Magny-Cours racing circuit, which welcomes the French Formula One Grand Prix, illustrates the medical needs involved. The presence of a medical team on the site should cover everyday needs encountered on the track and can limit the number of hospitalizations. Medical staff recruitment and insurance raise specific problems.
