Abstract
Conjunctival provocation tests (CPT) are a human model of ocular allergy that has often been used as a means of stimulating an allergic response for studies of its mechanism and also for evaluation of the efficacy of anti-allergic therapy. A large number of studies have provided data on the allergic response of the eye and on the efficacy of new drugs. We summarize information on the use of CPT as a means of investigation, evaluation, diagnosis and therapeutic follow-up.
