RésuméLe diagnostic d'une dermatite de contact repose sur un interrogatoire poussé (l'anamnèse) en détaillant la nature de tous les produits cosmétiques utilisés, une inspection des symptômes cliniques et de la localisation des lésions, et la performance de tests épicutanés ou patch tests. Cependant, d'autres tests supplémentaires tels que des tests ouverts et semi-ouverts pour des produits ayant un certain pouvoir irritatif, ainsi que des tests répétés sur l'avant-bras (ROAT: repeated open application tests) peuvent également être très utiles dans le diagnostic d'une dermatite de contact aux produits cosmétiques.
The diagnosis of allergic contact dermatitis to cosmetics is based on a careful history (anamnesis), taking into account all the cosmetic products that have been used by the patient, on inspection of the clinical symptoms and localisation of the lesions, and on the performance of epicutaneous tests or patch tests. In addition, other types of tests such as open and semi-open testing with products having a certain irritant potential as well as repeated open application tests (ROAT) on the forearm can also be very useful in the diagnosis of contact dermatitis caused by cosmetic products.
