Abstract
Green's function that gives the full set of electromechanical fields due to a point electric charge and an arbitrarily oriented point force is derived in explicit form for a piezoelectric material with the symmetry of class 6. In this case the coupling piezoelectric effect is non-axisymmetric and has not been previously discussed in literature. The derivation is done by the method of potential functions. Known results on particular cases of 6mm and 622 symmetries are recovered. The results are compared with the case of 6mm symmetry and are illustrated on example of bovine cortical bone possessing symmetry of class 6.
