Abstract
The initial treatment of these tumors consists of transsphenoidal resection when possible. Conventional radiotherapy, or preferably stereotatic radiotherapy, is used to treat and prevent recurrences as well as to reduce the size of postsurgical remnants. Pharmacological therapy has not been demonstrated to be effective.
