Abstract
Consensus on the optimal treatment of PA is lacking. Classically, given that the determining feature of AP is increased intra-parasellar pressure, decompressive surgery used to be considered the treatment of choice. However, in the last few years, conservative medical treatment with steroids has been used, especially when visual impairment is absent.
