Abstract
Following the decision by the French National Health Insurance of repayment of BMD measurement, the proportion of women who had BMD testing tended to decrease instead of increase over the time period. Although BMD screening is focused in France on high risk women, only 25% of those who had an initial BMD test were subsequently treated with an anti-osteoporotic medication.
