Abstract
► Prenatal haloperidol decreases the postnatal binding of dopamine D2 receptors in rat striatum. ► Motor activity in a striatal critical period (PN30-37) decreases the binding and mRNA expression of the same receptor. ► Prenatal haloperidol does not modify long-lasting activity-dependent changes on striatal D2 receptors in a critical period of plasticity.
