Abstract
⺠Persistent activation of inflammatory response has been related to unsuccessful aging. ⺠Polymorphisms of inflammatory genes can contribute to changes in aging trajectories. ⺠Aging trajectories differ among sexes. ⺠We studied the distribution of RANTES and CCR5 variability in long-lived individuals. ⺠We found a RANTES genetic determinant in sex differences of aging trajectories.
