Please see Elsevier Policy on Article Withdrawal (http://www.elsevier.com/locate/withdrawalpolicy).Reason: The decision has been made to retract this particular published article because it duplicates material published previously in the journal Diabetes Care [1]: namely Table 2 and Figure 1A of the original article were reproduced without permission as Table 2 and Figure 2 in this article. Corresponding author Dr Matsuoka, who was a co-author on the original paper, also failed to seek approval of co-authors named in the duplicate submission.
