Abstract
⺠Effects of NO donor SNP on physiologic processes were examined in fish. ⺠SNP lowers plasma T4 but promotes compensatory respiratory gas transport. ⺠SNP integrates the acid-base and osmotic balances in net-confined fish. ⺠Evidence is presented that NO can mitigate the magnitude of stress response.
