Abstract
⺠We investigated how diet affects fecal steroid hormone metabolite concentrations (FHM). ⺠Fecal cortisol and androgen metabolites increased in squirrels fed conifer seed. ⺠Fecal cortisol and androgen metabolites declined in squirrels fed peanut butter. ⺠These data suggest that even subtle differences in diet can influence FHM.
