Abstract
This paper considers the dynamic problem of contact interaction of two infinite strips arranged in parallel with an initial gap. Contact interaction of strips occurs due to impulse loading.Equations of the 2-dimensional generalized theory of plates and the theory of elasticity are used to describe the dynamic behavior of strips. The contact problem is solved using the collocation method with iterative refining of the contact area sizes at each time step.
