Abstract
We present a case of Dandy-Walker variant associated with a 90-mm occipital meningocele and severe hydrocephalus, with no other malformations or chromosomal alterations in a 33-week pregnant woman. An expectant approach was adopted until week 37, when cesarean section was performed in the interests of the fetus. Excision of the meningocele and ventricular-peritoneal shunting were performed in the first 24 hours of life. The infant is currently aged 8 months and shows good psychomotor development.
