Abstract
► Jpk induced E. coli cell death upon expression. ► N-term half of Jpk (AA 1-90) was more toxic than C-term in aerobic condition. ► Jpk-induced bacterial cell death was mediated through the ROS. ► DTT, an antioxidant, rescued the bacterial cells expressing Jpk.
