Abstract
⺠Mutations in CDR1α increase TCR:pMHC affinity and broaden peptide recognition. ⺠CDR1α mutations alter the TCR:pMHC binding footprint and selection of T cells. ⺠Increasing affinity 3-fold results in complete, not partial, negative selection.
