Abstract
These data suggest that dyslipidemia exerts varying effects on aortic PPAR expression, reducing PPARα and γ while not modifying PPARβ/δ. The increased PPARα and γ expression observed with atorvastatin administration could mediate the anti-atherogenic effects exerted by this statin.
