Abstract
⺠The parental brain represents a transformation characterized by not only self-care, but other-care. ⺠Maternal experience results in both short-term and long-term neurobiological effects. ⺠Biparental males provide a valuable model for the investigation of social awareness/responsiveness. ⺠Parental behavior coincides with increasingly complex brains and responses.
