âºEarly iron deficiency (ID) is one of the most common nutrient deficiencies, worldwide. âºThis study assesses formerly iron deficient rats on a frontal lobe task. âºFormerly ID rats outperform control rats in the behavioral procedure. âºFindings suggest imbalance between hippocampal and prefrontal modulation.
