Abstract
►Morphine induces anxiolytic-like behaviors in mice. ►Activation of ventral hippocampal NMDA receptors enhances the morphine response. ►Blockade of ventral hippocampal NMDA receptors by the antagonist decreases the morphine effect. ►The response of NMDA was also reduced by NMDA receptor antagonist D-AP5.
