Abstract
ECGs, interpreted as AF or AFL by internists, are often misdiagnosed. AFL was misdiagnosed more often than AF, with atypical more often than typical AFL. Consulting with a cardiologist and applying diagnostic criteria may reduce misdiagnosis.
