Aneurismas viscerales

ResumenLos aneurismas de arterias viscerales incluyen aneurismas del territorio esplácnico y renal, tanto aneurismas como pseudoaneurismas. En general se trata de una entidad poco frecuente, pero de detección cada vez más habitual por el mayor número de pruebas de imagen realizadas en nuestros días. Además, el aumento de procedimientos endovasculares, endoscópicos y percutáneos a nivel abdominal determina una mayor incidencia de pseudoaneurismas. Este artículo pretende revisar la historia natural y características de los aneurismas viscerales en sus diferentes localizaciones, valorar las indicaciones terapéuticas y presentar los tratamientos a nuestro alcance en el momento actual.

Visceral artery aneurysms include those of the splanchnic and renal arteries, and can be either aneurysms or pseudoaneurysms. Overall this is a rare entity, but detection is increasing due to the amount of imaging tests performed nowadays. Furthermore, increased abdominal endovascular, endoscopic, and percutaneous procedures has led to a higher incidence of pseudoaneurysms. This article reviews the natural history and characteristics of visceral artery aneurysms at different locations, evaluates the therapeutic indications and presents the current treatments available to us.
