Abstract
This approach allows a wide exposure of both iliac arteries through a single incision without cutting abdominal wall muscles. It may be employed in endovascular aneurysm repair for introduction of endografts, either directly through the iliac arteries or through a bypass previously sewn onto the common iliac artery and for making a crossover ilio-iliac bypass if an aorto-uni-iliac endograft is used. It may also be used in classical vascular surgery: iliac endarterectomy and ilio-femoral bypass.
