Abstract
LSVC and its congenital variants are venous anomalies that are not infrequent; their detection during the catheterisation of upper central lines is essential in order to prevent serious iatrogenic effects (perforation of the central venous line) and false diagnoses involving intra-arterial intrathoracic or extravascular malpositioning.
