Abstract
Unloading the systemic ventricle by BCPA leads to a decrease in the relative size of the atrioventricular valve. However, this decrease does not improve the degree of AVVR in the absence of concomitant valve repair. Concomitant valve repair is justified in patients with moderate or worse AVVR and an abnormal valve structure.
