Abstract
Elevated preoperative serum soluble RANKL level and soluble RANKL/osteoprotegerin ratio are independent predictors for POAF in patients undergoing cardiac valve surgery. These findings have important implications for identifying patients at higher risk of POAF who could be considered for prophylactic therapy.
