Abstract
Stage I adenocarcinoma of the lung recurs. Identifying high-risk patients will simplify decision making for adjuvant therapy and surveillance. Thorough mediastinal lymphadenectomy dissociates tumor size as a predictor of survival and may itself provide an important survival benefit.
