Fluid dynamic modeling of the heart is possible based on cardiac magnetic resonance imaging data and enables volume-independent quantitative assessment of the surgical procedure. In the future, preoperative modeling for patients with remodeled ventricles may help to achieve optimized post-SVR flow characteristics and potentially outcomes.
