Abstract
The power spectral density (PSD) peak estimation formula from response analysis results obtained from analysis with 1/3 octave bands or other broadband analysis bands for artificial satellites acoustic tests, is derived. The effectiveness of this formula by single-degree-of-freedom system response computations, and concerning the results of acoustic tests on an actual satellite panel, the PSD peak values estimated with this formula using loss factor obtained from experimental modal analysis are approximately same as the experimental results, is demonstrated. And the frequency resolution required for PSD peak estimation, are also investigated. Accuracy on the frequency resolution of practical test results, are shown.
