Abstract
The natural frequencies of a membrane-central core system are computed and compared with the experimental data from a modified capacitive microphone excited by an electrostatic actuator in a vacuum chamber under controlled temperature conditions. The observed frequencies confirm those from the theoretical model to within ≲2%≲2%.
