Long-term (11-year) statin therapy following percutaneous coronary intervention improves clinical outcome and is not associated with increased malignancy

Statin use at the time of PCI was associated with a significantly reduced risk of death from all causes and cardiac death. Furthermore, this study provides evidence of a clinical benefit at about 10 years of statin use in patients who underwent PCI.
