Abstract
A vibration control scheme is proposed in this paper based on the principle of the tuned mass damper. An anti-vibration device is designed and installed on a similar model of a jacket platform. There are two structural types for controlling the horizontal and vertical vibrations. The parametric study is performed in order to control the vibration effectively. The results show that satisfactory control effects can be achieved when the parameters of the anti-vibration device take the values in optimal parameter range.
