Abstract

Radiological consequence analysis is carried out for a postulated accidental airborne radionuclide release from the Tehran Research Reactor (TRR). Using the “Hots pot” computer code, Total Effective Dose Equivalent (TEDE) values to the public for various atmospheric stability classes are calculated as a function of downwind distances. Base on these estimates, critical exposure zone around the reactor is categorized.

► Calculation of the radiological consequences of a postulated accident. ► The radiation dose calculations of a postulated accident at TRR. ► Computer code “Hotspot” using to calculate Total Effective Dose Equivalent. ► First scenario: it is assumed that release occur through the emergency ventilation. ► Second scenario: the emergency ventilation system fails.
