Abstract
The photon attenuation coefficients of concretes produced using pumice as an aggregate, have been measured at the photon energies of 662, 1173 and 1332 keV to test the radiation shielding properties. The measured results have been compared with the calculation which has been done by using XCOM computer code. The obtained results have also been compared with the normal type of concrete in order to see the effect of pumice to radiation shielding properties.
► Linear attenuation coefficients measurement of pumice concrete. ► Determining mean free path transmissions. ► Comparison with the calculations.
