Abstract
Polycythemia vera is a myeloproliferative disorder characterized by the overproduction of various cell lines. Bleeding, thrombotic, and vascular complications are the major causes of morbidity and mortality in polycythemia vera (PV), occurring in 40–60% of the patients. Thrombotic occlusion of large arterial vessels is also a frequent finding in PV and generally involves cerebral and coronary vessels. Here we report a 43year-old male patient suffering from PV presented with non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) and was treated successfully with conservative therapy.
