Abstract

Sinus of Valsalva aneurysms usually arise from the right or non-coronary coronary sinus in 90–95% of cases. Sinus of Valsalva aneurysms arising from the left coronary sinus are rare. The sinus of Valsalva aneurysms can rupture in any cardiac chamber, but most commonly ruptures into the right ventricle and occasionally into the right atrium.1 We report an unusual case of a 30 yr old patient with left coronary sinus of Valsalva aneurysm, probably of infective etiology, which ruptured into the left ventricle.
