Abstract
Data are scarce on compliance with compression banding. This study shows that further efforts are needed to ensure proper patient education and professional training for physicians and allied profession concerning the installation of compression therapy. Total compliance was observed in only 35% of patients. In addition, the products delivered by the pharmacy were not consistent with the prescription in 26% of cases. Many discrepancies were observed between what was prescribed and what the patients achieved. Patient adherence is a crucial issue for compression therapy.
