Limb compressive load does not inhibit post activation depression of soleus H-reflex in indiviudals with chronic spinal cord injury

► Segment compressive load minimally modulates the soleus H-reflex response in individuals with chronic SCI. ► Diminished spinal reflex modulation to compressive load is associated with a loss of post activation depression in a reorganized spinal cord. ► Findings raise a question as to whether compressive load can influence spinal neuronal reorganization from the acute to the chronic state after SCI.
