Abstract
Although McDonald Criteria maintain an adequate sensibility and specificity, an overestimation of the importance of MRI results may lead to misdiagnosis or overdiagnosis of the disease. The identification of both clinical and imagenological “red flags” can warn the physician about complementing the criteria in order to reach a more accurate and reliable diagnosis.
