Abstract
Even if, Neuropathic Pain (NP) is well known since ancient times and may be present in a large number of diseases, many doctors in our area consider that medical education on this subject at medical schools, is insufficient. To evaluate the opinion that physicians have in our country on their formation about NP during pre and post graduation, the authors made a survey to 440 doctors in 2010. Physicians were asked if they had received education on NP for the pre and post graduation period and if they felt comfortable to treat it. The majority (53%) answered not having received training on pain neither NP during college and did not feel skilled to treat it (62%) Largely the physicians acquire education on post graduation activities and were interested on continuing their formation on NP.
