Abstract
A 10 years girl begins with photopsias at the right upper hemifield during several days. Visual acuity. At the right eye she showed a visual acuity of 9/10, a confrontation visual field upper altitudinal hemianopsia, an afferent pupilar defect, an optic disc swelling, and normal ocular motility and intracranial pressure. She had frequent bifrontal headaches with previous diagnosis of migraine. No history of infectious diseases or vaccination. A normal MRI showed anormal signal in the right sphenoid sinus. With diagnosis of optic neuritis secondary to sphenoid sinusitis, she began with oral prednisone 1 mg/kg/day during 7 days, tapering down to 5 mg a day and amoxicillin/clavulanic acid 50 mg/kg/day during 20 days. She performed a control CT.
