Abstract
Swallowing disorders are common symptoms in the bulbar form of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and can worsen the prognosis of the disease due to the denutrition and the pulmonary infections. Regular examination and evaluation of swallowing is needed to detect difficulties before the occurrence of complications. Symptomatic treatments and enteral or parenteral nutritional support can be proposed to overcome difficulties.
