Abstract
Physiotherapy is a major component of Parkinson's disease (PD) treatment. It helps to slow motor difficulties and loss of autonomy, and to develop new strategies in compensation. In PD, physiotherapy programs should be based on a preliminary functional and motor evaluation. Stretching and goal-based exercises have been adapted to specific difficulties, such as gait or postural difficulties, or instability⦠Rhythmic and cognitive strategies that reinforce the cognitive control of movement have shown their efficacy.
