Abstract
Third nerve schwannoma is a rare cranial nerve tumor. It is typically revealed by progressive palsy of the oculomotor nerve. Recurrent painful ophtalmoplegia (as our patient) is very uncommon ; only four similar cases have been reported. In case of ipsilateral recurrence of this symptom, we should look carefully for a local cause.
