Abstract
Primary diffuse leptomeningeal gliomatosis is a disease characterized by diffuse infiltration of the meninges by greater or lesser differentiated neoplastic glial cells without evidence of CNS intraparenchymatous primary tumor. This is a rare and rapidly fatal condition. There are no specific clinical, biological or radiological signs and this often leads to misdiagnosis, especially tuberculous meningitis. We report a recent case illustrating difficulties in establishing a timely diagnosis of this condition.
